Joe Gomez has urged Liverpool to prove their magnificent victory over Manchester City isn't a one-off - as he revealed what Jurgen Klopp told his players before another Anfield classic.
Gomez produced a man-of-the-match performance as the Reds earned a dramatic 1-0 home Premier League victory over Pep Guardiola's champions on Sunday.
It was only Liverpool's third clean sheet of the season and the first time City had failed to score in the top flight since a goalless draw at Crystal Palace back in March.

Liverpool's underwhelming start to the season means they still stand six points off the top four after nine games and a whopping 14 adrift of leaders Arsenal, albeit with a game in hand.
And with West Ham United visiting Anfield on Wednesday ahead of a trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Gomez believes Jurgen Klopp's side must now back up their impressive triumph.
"It's a platform," he said. "I don't think we can get too giddy or anything. We have to take the positives from the game and play with the same desire in the next one. We can't take our foot off the gas and dwell on this. We have to string some performances together and see where it leaves us come the break.
"It's not been plain sailing and has been a tough season for us. But every week we focus on the present and try to learn the lessons, but we knew we had to keep our heads up and it would come, and something came on Sunday.
"Hopefully we can carry on the consistency. It's never been about getting too high or too low, it's three points and we move on to the next one and try to keep the consistency and keep the pressure up."
Gomez, who played at right-back in the midweek Champions League romp at Rangers, moved across to centre-back after Ibrahima Konate joined Joel Matip on the sidelines through injury.
And the defender explained the message Liverpool boss Klopp gave his players after another tactical switch which ultimately paid dividends.
"Obviously it's a different system, and (the manager spoke) just to reiterate that desire, small tweaks in the press and trying to play with intensity and aggression, and play football and keep the ball and do what we do, and that paid off," said Gomez. "We got the counter-attack and Mo does what he does.
"(Moving position) does require focus and to visualise things, but that's part and parcel of football. It's about having the right approach to the game regardless, keep the principles the same, but the whole squad has the mentality of trying to step in and do the best for the team."
Speaking to LFC TV, Gomez also praised the contribution of Liverpool's supporters and said: "It was a great afternoon. We had to really embrace the atmosphere, and to have an afternoon like that at Anfield against opposition that made it feel that way, we really ground it out and put in a performance to do the fans proud.
"It was a special one. You could feel how we fed off it as players. The supporters should take credit, it was massive, they were a 12th man. They helped us see it out, for sure."
