Jordan Henderson has offered a gesture of support for Chelsea's Raheem Sterling after the England star returned home from the World Cup. Sterling's home in London was the target of an armed robbery ahead of the Three Lions' last 16 win against Senegal.
The 27-year-old had featured in England's opening two fixtures of the tournament in Qatar, but was replaced in the starting lineup by Manchester City talent Phil Foden against Wales and Senegal. Robbers are understood to have broken into Sterling's house on Saturday evening.
It's unclear whether the Chelsea star will return to Qatar after it is believed £300,000 worth of jewellery was stolen from his home. Surrey Police have since released a statement regarding the incident at the 27-year-old's house as they continue their investigation.

Henderson, who scored England's opening goal against Senegal, has offered a more subtle gesture to Sterling after the robbery at his house. The Liverpool captain joined his team-mates to celebrate in the stands with his family following the victory and was spotted wearing Sterling's No.10 shorts.
Henderson's wears the No.8 shirt for England, but he appeared to switch into Sterling's shorts after the win over Senegal. The Liverpool star sent a message of support to the Chelsea man during his post-match interview, admitting that losing Sterling was a blow, but insisted that the Blues winger's wellbeing was all that mattered.
Speaking to ITV after the match, Henderson said: "It is a blow but I hope everything is okay with Raheem's family at home and he can go back and sort everything out. Hopefully he can come back but I suppose he'll have to assess when he gets home.
"All our thoughts and support are with him."
