Jesse Lingard picked the perfect occasion to score his first goal for Nottingham Forest, as they knocked Tottenham Hotspur out of the Carabao Cup in a 2-0 win.
The 29-year-old who arrived at the City Ground in the summer, was yet to find the back of the net in 12 appearances for Steve Cooper. In a wonderful night for Forest, Renan Lodi also opened up his account with a stunning curling effort shortly after half-time.
Lingard then doubled the hosts' advantage, as he headed home from close range. What he did after, though, may have gone unnoticed by some as the home fans erupted.

The attacking midfielder did the popular "griddy" dance to mark the occasion, as well as his "JLingz" gesture as he celebrated in front of the crowd. Lingard later wrote on his social media: "Bout time. Top team performance tonight, thank you to the fans for your support."
Forest's win over Spurs was their first in 25 years, adding further pressure on Italian boss Antonio Conte as Spurs are now winless in their last five games.
