Be still my beating heart, or I'll be given an ECG. The Pitt season 2 is finally returning to the small screen almost a full year after its surprise success in early 2025.
In the HBO Max show, we're picking up 10 months after the events of season 1, with our unhinged day shift staff taking over for the Fourth of July weekend. Lead Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) is a lot more grounded than his emotional breakdown in season 1, planning to leave for a three-month sabbatical after the holiday shift is over.
We've also got the return of Dr Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball), who was put on temporary suspension in season 1 after stealing patient drugs to satiate his hidden addiction. As for everyone else... well, they're being thrown from the fire into the metaphorical frying pan.
It's going to be chaos from the moment we return to the emergency room, but when is The Pitt season 2 episode 1 dropping on one of the best streaming services around?

The Pitt season 2 episode 1 drops on HBO Max on January 8, 2026, at 6pmPST/ 9pm EST. It's going to have the same weekly schedule, so you're tuning in for exactly the same time week on week.
Internationally, you're looking out for these timings:
- US – 6pm PST / 9pm EST
- Canada – 6pm PST / 9pm EST
- India – 7:30pm IST
- Singapore – 10am SGT
- Australia – 1pm AEDT
- New Zealand – 3pm NZDT
You'll notice that I've not included the UK here, and that's because HBO Max doesn't launch in the territory until March 2026.
The Pitt hasn't aired on NOW TV or Sky like other HBO shows such as The White Lotus and The Gilded Age, so you'll have to wait until then to binge both seasons.
