The government-backed scheme helps low-income, fuel-poor and vulnerable households in England, Scotland and Wales pay for improvements that make their homes cheaper to heat and more energy efficient. Depending on your circumstances and your property, that can include insulation, heating upgrades and, in some cases, solar panels. However, qualifying for ECO4 doesn’t guarantee that you will receive solar panels or even that the work will be completely free.
