Gym date at 8am. Coffee and walk at 11am. Dinner and drinks at 7pm. It might sound exhausting, but a growing number of single Londoners are opting for jam-packed dating lives, scheduling multiple short meets over a short period of time to maximise their chances of finding love.
The practice is known as stack dating (or microdating) — and according to psychologists and dating experts, it’s on the rise. Recent data from dating app Bumble reveals that while 60 per cents of dates still average two hours, close to a quarter of Gen Z singles now prefer dates that last less than half an hour for the first meetup.
