Elon Musk’s plan to build a major chipmaking facility in Texas, in the United States, has taken a clearer shape after SpaceX filed plans for a $55 billion (€46.8 billion) chipmaking facility on Wednesday.

Musk announced the Terafab project in March to produce more than one terawatt of artificial intelligence (AI) compute capacity per year.
