Tottenham currently find themselves 1-0 down against AC Milan in the Champions League round of 16 first leg at San Siro. Spurs' midfield options have been significantly weakened in the past week with Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Yves Bissouma all suffering injuries.
Bentancur is set to miss the remainder of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury whilst Bissouma could miss a number of weeks with an ankle injury. The injuries Antonio Conte is faced with left him with no choice but to start Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr against Milan in Italy.
Hugo Lloris is another of those to be absent through injury meaning Fraser Forster has started the last few games for the Lilywhites. Brahim Diaz opened the scoring for the Italian outfit in the first half with Spurs pushing to find an equaliser in the second half.

In Lloris' absence, Harry Kane is the man captaining Conte's side and fans noticed how he is already leading the younger players in the team. Sarr is eager to impress now he has been handed the opportunity to get a run of games in the first team and showed a willingness to track back and do what Conte has asked of him in midfield.
The Senegalese midfielder chased down the ball as Milan looked to counter Tottenham on the break and put in a brilliant challenge to win back possession on the edge of Spurs' penalty box. Kane recognised the effort from Sarr and was seen clapping the 20-year-old midfielder after stopping a dangerous attack from the reigning Serie A champions.
Kane will hope that he can continue adding to his impressive goal scoring record for Spurs and find an equaliser before the end of the match. A 1-0 defeat is not the worst result to head back to north London with but Conte will hope his side can grab a goal or two to put them in a strong position for the second leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
One man Conte will be without for the second leg is Eric Dier. The English defender is suspended after picking up a yellow card in the match at San Siro.
