'You've ruined it' - Jude Bellingham's response to Liverpool transfer question as Jordan Henderson reaction spotted

Jordan Henderson and Jude Bellingham were plunged into an awkward position by a reporter on Sunday evening that could provide a hint to the Borussia Dortmund star's future.

Both players starred for the Three Lions as England cruised past Senegal 3-0 in the Round of 16 clash, paving the way for a blockbuster quarterfinal clash with world champions France on Saturday.

Henderson opened the scoring for Gareth Southgate's side, following a square pass from Bellingham and the two went on to dominate the rest of the match as England marched impressively into the final eight of the tournament. But speaking after the match, when a reporter suggested that the latter had a future at Liverpool, the situation got awkward.

Speaking about Bellingham, who was next to him in the post-match mixed zone, Henderson had said: "I've said it many a time. He's a one off. We need to let him enjoy playing football, he's only 19. He's been incredible at this tournament but [also]for a long period of time now with Dortmund. He's carried it on into this tournament and hopefully he can just carry on going from strength to strength and being a big player for England."

The journalist followed up his answer by asking: "And Liverpool in the future?"

After an awkward pause, Henderson laughed and walked off. As he made his exit, Bellingham shouted: "You've ruined it for all of us! You've ruined it man," as Liverpool's captain broke into a nervous belly laugh.

Liverpool's interest in Bellingham is no secret and the 19-year-olds close relationship with both Henderson and his Anfield teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold has been picked up on by reporters and supporters alike.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that the relationship continues to blossom, so much so that Bellingham can help the Reds negotiate a few pounds off Dortmund's reported £150million asking price.
