Steve Irwin won the hearts of people around the world for his love for animals and kind nature, but sadly the Australian zookeeper died at the age of 44 on September 4, 2006, following an accidental stingray attack.
The environmentalist was filming for his documentary on Australia's Great Barrier Reef when a stingray struck him in the chest, becoming the only death caused by stingray to be captured on camera.
The Crocodile Hunter left behind his family including his wife Terri Irwin and their two children, Bindi and Robert Irwin.
But where are the Irwin children now 16 years on from their father's death?

Bindi Irwin
Bindi was born on July 24, 1998 and is the first child of Steve and Terri Irwin.
Since the death of her father in 2006, Bindi has continued the Crocodile Hunter's legacy by following in her dad’s footsteps as a dedicated conservationist and zookeeper alongside her brother, Robert.
Bindi told People magazine in December 2019: “I sure hope Dad would be proud.
“We really do try every day to make him proud. I hope that somewhere he’s out there going, ‘Yes! You did good!'”
The Irwin family has continued to expand over the years, with Bindi tying the knot to Chandler Powell in March 2020.
The couple later welcomed their first child, Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, on March 25, 2021.
The 23-year-old gushed over her daughter in a birthday post in March 2022 to mark Grace's first birthday.
In the post, Bindi said: "Happy Birthday to my graceful warrior. One year of watching your beautiful heart bloom into the most extraordinary person.
"Grace, you have been an old soul from the very beginning. It is the greatest blessing to be your mama. I love you eternally, unconditionally and infinitely."
Bindi continues her conservation work at Australia Zoo alongside her mother and younger brother, and she also dabbles in TV work with notable mentions including her show Crickey! It's The Irwins and her appearance on Dancing With The Stars in 2015 where she won the series.
Robert Irwin
Robert was born on December 1, 2003 and his looks are often compared to his late father's as they share a striking resemblance.
The 18-year-old continues to work at Australia Zoo alongside his family and he now hosts Robert's Real Life Adventures, a programme on his family zoo's internal television network.
At Australia Zoo, which is owned by mum Terri, Robert carries on the duties of his late father, including wrestling crocodiles and handling snakes.
He was nominated for a Logie Award in 2013 for Most Popular New Male Talent due to his role in Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warriors.
Since his father's passing, Robert has gone on to release a book called Dinosaur Hunter, which he co-authored with Lachlan Creag and Jack Wells.
Robert is an avid photographer and is also the leading photography contributor to the Australia Zoo's Crikey magazine, becoming a runner-up in the junior category of the 2016 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition.
When he is not out taking pictures or wrestling crocodiles, Robert is featuring on TV shows, with past appearances including Ru Paul's Drag Race Down Under and The Kelly Clarkson show.
