Nolan Xavier Wells, an 18-year-old football player who disappeared during a Fourth of July outing with friends, was found dead near Horn Island in the Gulf of Mexico after an intensive multi-agency search. The discovery has left the recent high school graduate from Mississippi family devastated and searching for answers about what happened in the hours before he vanished.
The United Cajun Navy and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said Xavier Wells was last seen around 3 pm and was reportedly ‘talking to a girl’ on the north end of Horn Island.
