Victoria Barton broke down after suffering from a traumatic flashback in tonight's episode of Emmerdale.
The character, played by Isabel Hodgins on the ITV soap, had been excited to get dolled up and enjoy a night out while planning to set Ethan up. Her friend had recently split with his partner, Marcus, following the revelation he’d been cheating so Victoria decided to get him out to enjoy himself.
She hoped to set him up with a man called Sean but it soon became clear that he didn't have eyes for her friend and instead was interested in her. Her excitement soon turned to sheer panic as she began to suffer flashbacks from a horrible ordeal and became breathless.

She had been remembering the traumatic events of what happened to her four years ago, in 2019, when she was sexually assaulted by Lee Posner. Fans on Twitter were horrified as they predicted that history would repeat itself.
One user said: "It can’t be easy for Victoria on a night out after what happened to her #emmerdale." Mitch said: "#emmerdale Erm this bit with Victoria is giving me scary Deja Vu."
Another added: "Victoria - run! That track was playing in the background when you were raped. Run! #emmerdale."
What happened to Victoria in 2019?
Victoria had agreed to share a cab home with Lee after being kicked out of a club. He then manipulated her into letting him into her home saying he deserved a cup of tea or something for helping her out.
But the friendly gesture soon turned sinister as Victoria demanded Lee leave immediately. He ignored her pleas before overpowering her and raping her in harrowing scenes.
As a result of the assault she ended up pregnant with her son, Harry, and tried to move on from the traumatic event. Now it seems it has all come flooding back to her in a horrific way.
Could history be repeating itself? Or will Victoria try to overcome her conflicting feelings?
