What happened to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba after encounter with Arsenal supporter

Arsenal fans will love what happened to former arch-enemy number one Didier Drogba as the Chelsea icon suffered some brutal trolling.

Having retired from football, the Ivorian has been doing many things off the pitch during his downtime. His most notable activity recently was being involved in the FIFA Qatar World Cup draw, which took place earlier this year. Asides from this, the Champions League-winning striker who struck gold during that famous night in Munich back in 2012 has been doing his regular duties as head of the Ivory Coast Footballing Federation.

Unfortunately for him, he will not be seeing his beloved home nation compete in Qatar this November as Ghana, Tunisia, Morocco, and Cameroon make up the African contingent of nations that qualified.

The Southern Coast African outfit went out of World Cup qualification at the hands of Cameroon, who topped Group D in the qualifying phase. Nevertheless, having such a prominent and strong relationship with top officials at FIFA will mean he himself will be ever-present in the Middle East for the showpiece event.

Ahead of the kick-off to the tournament, which is fast approaching, Drogba is everywhere at the moment, and a recent encounter with a certain supporter in Kuwait has gone viral. From the look of it, the 44-year-old assumed that he was signing the shirt of a young Chelsea supporter.

However, once the signature was on the jersey, this little kid took off his shirt, to which Drogba repeated the phrase 'oh my god' when seeing the red and white of Arsenal. He took the joke in good spirits, but Gunners supporters online were happy to see this trolling of a player who scored 13 goals in the 15 games he played against Arsene Wenger's side over the years.

Here is some of the best reactions to this incident on Twitter.

@LaurentLegacy tweeted: 'Drogba is my ultimate guilty pleasure. I think the guy is a legend. Supreme footballer, underrated in all time discussions. Top human being off the pitch. Never hated him even as a kid when he was pasting us every game we played them.'

@RayMorsid wrote: 'Smart kid. Henry would be proud.'

@Schalkboi labelled the kid: 'A REAL legend.'

@Tchinedvu4 hit back, though, as a Chelsea fan: 'He owns Arsenal, so no problems.'
