Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his options ahead of the new season.
Chelsea have also expressed an interest in the Brazilian but multiple reports place the Gunners at the front of the queue. Following the departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette over the past six months, reinforcements will be required for the new season, despite Eddie Nketiah recently extending his stay at the Emirates.
Cody Gakpo, Raheem Sterling, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Serge Gnabry have all been linked with moves to Arsenal as well but Jesus appears to be their top target, with Arteta having previously worked with the Brazilian at the Etihad. An opening bid of around £30 million was reportedly rejected by the Premier League champions but Arsenal are now set to match the £50 million asking price.
