What does the Sky and ITV deal mean for British TV?

ITV has agreed to sell its media and entertainment arm to Sky in a deal worth up to £1.6 billion and which is set to deliver a major shake-up to the UK television industry.

The companies said the takeover will create a significant rival to the world’s biggest streaming platforms.
