Diogo Dalot instructed Manchester United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to go over to the Goodison Park away end and applaud the travelling United supporters following Sunday night's 2-1 win over Everton.
United recovered from a goal down to beat Frank Lampard's side, courtesy of first half efforts from Antony and Ronaldo. Alex Iwobi had given Everton a fifth-minute lead with a sumptuous effort from outside the penalty area.
However, United refused to let their heads drop, drawing level ten minutes later through Antony's third goal in as many Premier League games. Ronaldo then completed the turnaround just before half time, scoring the 700th goal of his club career.

The Portugal international latched onto Casemiro's defence-splitting pass to stroke the ball past Jordan Pickford. Ronaldo had earlier stepped off the bench to replace the injured Anthony Martial.
At full-time Dalot made sure that his compatriot went over to thank the United supporters for their backing. Ronaldo appeared to be heading straight towards the tunnel after the game reached its conclusion.
But Dalot was having none of it, capturing Ronaldo's attention and nodding his head in the direction of the away end on the far side of the ground. They walked towards the away end together with Dalot putting his arm around the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's shoulder. As he approached the away end, Ronaldo applauded.
Ronaldo, who has scored two goals in all competitions so far this term, has often been criticised for refusing to thank the away fans for their support since returning to United last year. He headed straight down the tunnel after the 4-0 defeat to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium back in August, whereas other members of the squad faced the supporters in the far corner of the ground, despite being greeted with anger.
