Diego Simeone has admitted no one at Atletico Madrid is “untouchable” as doubts about Joao Felix’s future grow.

The Daily Record claim the La Liga giants would be open to loaning the Portugal international out to a Premier League club in January before a permanent move in the summer.

Standard Sport understands Chelsea have been offered the 23-year-old, who has struggled to wholly convince since a £113m move to the Spanish capital from Benfica in 2019.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have scouted the forward as they weigh up a move for a wide forward following an injury to Gabriel Jesus.

Felix impressed for his country at the World Cup and has been tipped as the player to lead Portuguese football in a post-Cristiano Ronaldo era.

Still, life with Atletico has proven difficult, and his relationship with Simeone has been the subject of much debate.

The Argentine manager has already revealed his stance on Felix’s future, telling reporters: “I hope we can give João some serenity, joy to show what he learned at the World Cup — he’s important.

“I only focus on Atleti to win. Our CEO words on Joao’s future? Whatever has to happen, will happen. Here no one is untouchable."
