A three-part documentary that follows former US President Donald Trump and his family during the 2020 election campaign, in the weeks before and after the January 6 insurrection, has been released.
Unprecedented, which is airing on Foxtel and streaming on Binge, reveals how Mr Trump reacted to being banned on Twitter, his take on the Capitol riots and how his family responded.
What does the series reveal?
The three-part docuseries covers a bunch of different topics.
Here are some some key moments.
Mr Trump says 'thugs' banned him on Twitter
According to Variety, Mr Trump wasn't too pleased when he was banned from Facebook and Twitter two days after the Capitol riot.
"It's a shame what Twitter did, and what Facebook did," Mr Trump said.
Mike Pence interrupts interview for important email
Former vice-president Mike Pence's interview is interrupted, when he is shown an email by a member of his staff that, the documentary says, included the draft House resolution demanding that Mr Pence invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Mr Trump from power.
“Tell Zach to print me out a hard copy for the trip home,” he asks an aide.
However, a spokesman for Mr Pence told CNN he had actually received confirmation that his letter was sent to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, rejecting her ploy to invoke 25th amendment.
“I’m always hopeful about America,” Mr Pence said in the interview. “I always believe that America’s best days are yet to come.”
Election fraud in Georgia
Unprecedented also features election fraud claims, particularly Mr Trump's reaction to Georgia's governor, Brian Kemp, and its then secretary of state, Brad Raffensperger, refusing to help him overturn Joe Biden's victory.
“We have a governor, the poor guy doesn’t know what the hell is happening,” Mr Trump said.
What did they say about January 6?
Throughout the documentary, Mr Trump's daughter, Ivanka, spoke highly of her father, as did her husband, Jared Kushner.
The series delves into the family dynamic, where they are all seen working on the 2020 election campaign, but there comes a divide when they were asked about the events on January 6.
According to Vanity Fair, former vice-president Mike Pence, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr all declined to comment on the Capitol riot attack and what came after.
However, the former president did give his take on the events that unfolded that day.
“Well, it was a sad day, but it was a day where there was great anger in our country,” Mr Trump said.
“People went to Washington, primarily, because they were angry with an election that they think was rigged.”
He said a “very small” portion went down to the Capitol and a “very small portion” went inside.
Where can I watch it?
You can watch the series in Australia on FOXTEL, Flash and Binge from Monday.
In the US, Unprecedented is being streamed on Discovery Plus.
The footage was subpoenaed by the January 6 committee
Last month, the committee investigating the January 6 insurrection privately interviewed the series filmmaker, Alex Holder, who had to hand over footage from the project.
On June 24, Mr Holder said he was interviewed behind closed doors before the fifth hearing.
"I have no further comment at this time, other than to say that our conversation was thorough and I appreciated the opportunity to share more context about my project."
The committee is holding a series of hearings after investigating the attack on the Capitol for the past 11 months.
Its next hearing is on Tuesday.
