Danny Welbeck made 126 appearances over five seasons for Arsenal but this evening he lines up against them for Brighton in the Carabao Cup. The 31-year-old netted his first goal of the season levelling up the contest after Eddie Nketiah had given the Gunners the lead.
Just seven minutes after Nketiah's strike, Welbeck was played through on goal before he was fouled by Karl Hein, who is making his Arsenal debut, after he slipped when trying to close down the former Arsenal man.
Welbeck then lined up and took the penalty, sending Hein the wrong way before grabbing the ball out of the back of the net and running back to the halfway line, choosing not to celebrate.

Interestingly, after scoring against another former club Manchester United during his time at Arsenal, Welbeck chose to celebrate his goal in their 2-0 win over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium five years ago.
Despite his previous allegiance to Arsenal, the 31-year-old received a fair amount of boos on the evening and is unlikely a popular figure inside Emirates at the moment after he cancelled out Nketiah's strike.
Welbeck left Arsenal to join Watford at the end of his contract before linking up with the Seagulls the following year and his first half goal also saw set an interesting record regarding goals at Emirates Stadium.
Before joining the Gunners, Welbeck scored for Manchester United at Emirates and he has also scored their as an Arsenal and Watford player, with his goal this evening making him the first player to score four goals at Emirates Stadium with four different teams.
