What channel is Man Utd vs Brentford? Kick-off time, TV and live stream details

Manchester United prepare to face Brentford at Old Trafford on Monday night in their final home game of the season, as they look to return to winning ways in order to keep up their chances of at least securing a top six finish this campaign.

But their visitors will be looking to cause an upset here and will fancy their chances against an out-of-form and weak Red Devils side, while three points for themselves will push them closer to the top half.

The hosts have won just one of their previous five games to see their top four hopes disappear, while Brentford have won three of their last five to all but confirm their Premier League survival.

When is Man Utd vs Brentford?

Man Utd vs Brentford will kick-off at 8pm on Monday, May 2 at Old Trafford.

The last meeting between these two sides came in the reverse league fixture back in January, when the Red Devils came away with all three points following a 3-1 victory at the Brentford Community Stadium.

After a goalless first half, Anthony Elanga put the visitors ahead after 55 minutes, before two more were added in the next 22 minutes by Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, while Ivan Toney scored an 85th minute consolation for the hosts.

Team news

Ralf Rangnick has a whole host of injury concerns to deal with and was missing a total of eight players for Thursday’s draw with Chelsea, although he will hope to welcome back one or two for this fixture at least.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (knock), Fred (groin) and Edinson Cavani (calf) will all face late fitness tests ahead of the tie, but Harry Maguire is expected to miss out with a knee injury, while Jadon Sancho (illness) could be out for the rest of the season alongside Paul Pogba (calf) and Luke Shaw (calf). Jesse Lingard (personal reasons) may also come back into contention.

As for Thomas Frank, things are also just as bad as he has to deal with seven injury concerns in the lead up to this fixture, although he may look to stick with the same side from their last outing against Tottenham Hotspur.

Kristoffer Ajer (head) and Christian Norgaard (shin) are expected to return for the trip up north, but the same cannot be said for Ethan Pinnock (thigh) and Sergi Canos (thigh), while Saman Ghoddas (ankle), Mathias Jorgensen (groin) and Frank Onyeka (ankle) are ruled out.
