What caused the deadly stampede in India?

Authorities in India have arrested six people following a deadly stampede in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. 121 women and children were killed at a religious event where nearly 250,000 had gathered to listen to a guru. To understand what caused this human tragedy, we talk to Sanjay Srivastava, professor of Anthropology at SOAS University of London.   

Also this week, questions are being asked over who will succeed the Dalai Lama as the Tibetan spiritual leader celebrates his 89th birthday. While China said it will nominate the next Dalai Lama, the Tibetan community in exile is having none of it. They're promising to push for political and religious self-determination from across the border in India. Olivia Salazar-Winspear reports. 

Finally, trash-filled balloons from North to South Korea have disrupted nearly 100 flights carrying some 10,000 passengers in recent weeks. Pyongyang has sent thousands of balloons across the border in response to those carrying anti-North Korean propaganda sent by activists from South Korea. Our team on the ground report on the “balloon war”.
