What Arsenal's Bukayo Saka said to David Beckham at England World Cup camp ahead of France clash

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has been one of the standout performers for England at the World Cup. Saka took his goal tally to three as he rounded off the Three Lions' 3-0 win over Senegal in the last 16 on Sunday evening.

The 21-year-old scored twice on his World Cup debut against Iran as England kicked off their tournament in style with a 6-2 win. Gareth Southgate's side followed that up by drawing 0-0 to the USA, before beating fellow home nation Wales 3-0 in their final Group B fixture.

Rio Ferdinand has previously highlighted the relaxed and positive culture Southgate has implemented into the group which may be a reason behind the Three Lions' last two major tournament performances, reaching a semi-final and final at the 2018 World Cup and Euros in 2020. The England players had a special guest visit them in Qatar ahead of their quarter-final clash against France on Saturday, December 10, with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs.

Beckham met with Gareth Southgate and his squad out in Qatar as the players prepared for the match against the reigning world champions this weekend. In the video posted on social media, Saka appeared from the changing rooms to ask the England legend a key question.

"Sorry to interrupt, can I have a picture with you?" Saka asked the Manchester United legend, as he was clearly starstruck at meeting one of the footballing greats. Beckham was also seen offering advice to the likes of Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, along with chatting with Declan Rice, James Maddison and Jack Grealish.

The Three Lions will be hoping to reach yet another semi-final as they face their toughest challenge yet at the World Cup. Kylian Mbappe, France's main danger man, was missing from Les Bleus' training session on Tuesday evening but it's understood that he was taking part in a recovery session away from the pitch.
