Voters in Chorley have had their say in the 2022 local elections.
Council seats were up for grabs in wards including Adlington & Anderton, Buckshaw & Whittle, Chorley East, Chorley North & Astley, Chorley North East, Chorley North West, Chorley South East & Heath Charnock, Chorley South West, Clayton East, Brindle & Hoghton, Clayton West & Cuerden, Coppull, Croston, Mawdesley & Euxton South, Eccleston, Heskin & Charnock Richard and Euxton.
Elections will also take place for the parish council seats of Euxton, Heapey, Mawdesley, Wheelton and Whittle-le-Woods.
Ahead of the election the Labour group was in control of the council with 29 councillors. The Conservative Party had 13 councillors.

Local elections took place for more than 200 local authorities across the UK, including all 33 London boroughs and 34 metropolitan boroughs in England.
Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 5, with the Chorley count expected to take place overnight.
