Newcastle owner Amanda Staveley was spotted outside Stamford Bridge prior to Chelsea vs Newcastle kicking off.
The Toon hero who had bought the club from Mike Ashley did have her say on the Roman Abramovich situation with questions about the Blues came up in a recent interview.
“We’re always going to have geopolitical issues,” she said via talkSPORT.
“I’m really sad that someone is going to have a football club taken away because of a relationship he may have with someone.
“I don’t think that’s particularly fair to be honest. But we do have to hold all of our relationships to account.”
She went on to add: “One great thing about taking four years to buy Newcastle is we had a great opportunity to look at every club, including Chelsea.
“Chelsea is a wonderful club, but there was only one club for us and will only ever be one club for us.
“We like the challenge of buying a club at 20th position [in the Premier League] and getting it to the top.”
Quotes that would have delighted the Newcastle away fans who were in great noise on Sunday before Kai Havertz silenced the travelling Toon Army with his well taken goal.
On the contrary, Chelsea supporters could be left wondering what could have been if Staveley and PIF had sat on their hands a bit longer.
This certainly reflected the view of one Blues supporter who confronted Staveley as she was about to enter the ground to watch proceedings from the directors box.
As per @iamrahmanosman , he tweeted: 'Ohhh just walked into Amanda and someone just shouted, “You should have waited for Chelsea”
With the Saudi Media group touted as a possible takeover option for the Blues, this certain Chelsea fan coupled with others will hope they prevail in this race if they are to get anyone similar to the wealthy Staveley and the PIF group.
