Alisson has revealed what he said to Ederson after Liverpool's draw with Man City at the Etihad on Sunday. The Reds remain a point behind Pep Guardiola's side in the Premier League title-race after goals from Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane saw them twice peg back the reigning champions.
The two Brazil internationals, who were pictured in discussion after the final whistle, are currently fighting it out for Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup glory, well aware that if one succeeds it will be at the expense of the other, while also vying to be first-choice for the Selecao ahead of this winter's World Cup in Qatar.
Yet the goalkeepers remain close despite such rivalries, with Alisson revealing what was said after the final whistle while offering his take on his compatriot very nearly scoring what would have been a decisive own goal in the first half at the Etihad.

"His face, I'm sure that was fine but I think his heart was beating hard," the Liverpool goalkeeper told reporters ahead of facing Benfica. "Ederson is like this, he is calm and confident and he is really good doing what he does with his feet.
"We didn't speak about that moment but we spoke a little bit after the match. We spoke how intense was the game and how good was the match and our kids as well. He didn't go to the national team last time so I asked how his family were. Not too much about football."
With Liverpool currently chasing an unprecedented quadruple, the stakes have never been higher for Jurgen Klopp's side. Remaining in Premier League title contention, they will be looking to book their place in the Champions League semi-finals when they take on Benfica on Wednesday night, before Alisson locks horns with Ederson again as the Reds face Man City at Wembley this weekend in the FA Cup semi-finals.
It's a stark cry from last season as Klopp's side saw their Premier League title defence decimated by injury, and needed an unlikely last-minute from Alisson against West Bromwich Albion just to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive.
Yet having scored once, the Brazilian teased he would have no doubts about sprinting forward again for a set-piece if his side needed him to, though hopes his contributions at the other end will not be needed as Liverpool chase further silverware.
"I think now if it is needed, it's clear I am going," he chuckled. "Normally it is the boss who decides if I go or not. Against West Brom, John Achterberg was the one who called me to go to the box.
"If they call me, I go. If not, no problem. We have enough players to score. I hope it will not necessary but if it's needed and it's the last time, yeah. We will try everything we have to win the games."
