What Aaron Ramsdale did to annoy Wolves fans after Arsenal goals on day of farewells

Aaron Ramsdale joined the fun on a day of celebration for Arsenal at home to Wolves. The Gunners raced into a 2-0 lead with perfectly timed goals from Granit Xhaka on an effective farewell tour of the club. Strikes from Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka made things even better.

Although there was nothing to play for and even less for Ramsdale to do in order to affect the match, the 25-year-old still found a way to get himself involved in the action. Shortly after Thomas Partey's disallowed goal, another which was greeted with great fanfare from the players, Jesus nodded in to make the scoreline emphatic in Arsenal's favour.

Without facing a shot on target, Ramsdale made his own impact on proceedings by angering the disappointed travelling fans. In typical Ramsdale fashion, he turned to the Wolves faithful and did his thing.

Imitating West Bromwich Albion fans and their own song and dance, Ramsdale bounced up and down and gestured mockingly to the away end with a gesture known to their midlands rivals. With his arms pumping and the atmosphere of a party, end-of-season setting, his personality came through clearly.

The Englishman only signed a new two-year extension in the past fortnight and has made himself one of the most popular members of an exciting, young squad. After a stellar season on the field, capped off by yet another clean sheet, Ramsdale's mannerisms, positivity and jokey attitude throughout shine through.

Even without anything to gain from the match in a tangible sense, it was still an enjoyable one for the supporters and Ramsdale's latest episode is only proof of the newfound connection with those that follow the team home and away.
