Pep Lijnders has highlighted how he and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp are delighted with what new signing Fabio Carvalho has shown since arriving from Fulham this summer. The Reds tried to sign Carvalho at the end of the January window, but the deal collapsed late on.
Liverpool managed to keep their agreement with Fulham and fought off competition for Carvalho. The Portugal Under-21 international now has the chance to build on his impressive season in the Championship and start to make a name for himself in the Premier League.
Carvalho has impressed during pre-season for Liverpool and will get another chance to shine when the Reds take on Manchester City in the Community Shield at Leicester City's King Power Stadium later today.
