
Sam Burns came through 119 holes to capture the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play, his fifth and biggest win on the PGA Tour. In the final he thumped Cameron Young by 6&5 after a slow start before then recording a whopping eight birdies in the final 10 holes.
For part of the day it looked like we’d be treated to a Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy final but they had to settle for a consolation match in which McIlroy sneaked past the World No. 1 by 2&1.
