Whether it’s the penny pusher or trying to win a cuddly toy on the novelty cranes, a summer trip to the seaside isn’t complete without a visit to the local arcade. Weston-super-Mare’s Grand Pier has always been regarded as one of the best arcades in the UK and now that has been confirmed in a new survey.
Interested in which arcade has the most to offer holidaymakers, bestcasinosites.net filtered down arcades in the UK and scraped individual sites to pinpoint how many machines each arcade has, to identify the biggest arcade complex in the UK.
Grand Pier ranks fifth in the UK’s best arcade list with a rating of 9.86/10. Its 312 machines make Weston’s main attraction the biggest seaside arcade in South West, and the fact it's just a seven-minute walk from the railway station makes it a perfect day trip location, according to the survey.

As anybody who has walked onto Grand Pier with a bag of coins will know, the arcade has something for everybody. As well as the traditional penny pushers and pinball machines, there is air hockey, video games, dance stages, shooting galleries and novelty cranes.
And Weston isn’t the only South West arcade to be listed in the Top 20. Butlins at Minehead is ranked number nine in the list with its 273 machines and Stardust Amusements at Brean near Burnham-on-Sea, is number 18 with 237 machines.
But they still have a long way to go before they can match the arcades at the top of the list. Number one is Astro City at Southend-on-Sea in Essex, with 589 machines on the longest pleasure pier in the world. In second place is Butlins in the West Sussex town of Bognor Regis with 499 machines.
Third place goes to Golden Horseshoe in Portsmouth with 402 machines, and number four is Wellington Pier in Norfolk with a total of 387.
