Nigel Reo-Coker has claimed that Leeds United fans "will turn" on Weston McKennie if he fails to live up to expectations after he warned the American that Whites fans are "crazy".
Leeds confirmed the arrival of McKennie on an initial loan with an option to buy in the January window. The Juventus star has traded Italy for England and fans will be excited to get a glimpse of their new signing in action, with a potential debut coming as soon as this weekend in a Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.
The 24-year-old will have already pencilled in February 12 for his potential home debut in a game against Manchester United, after he already made it clear how excited he is to make his first appearance at Elland Road this season. McKennie dubbed Whites' home stadium as "dope" and admitted that he is looking forward to the "adrenaline rush" as he walks out as Leeds player.

However, Reo-Coker has now told McKennie that he has to hit the ground running, claiming that Leeds supporters will turn on the midfielder if he has a slow start to life at the club.
“Elland Road is a different beast of fans. Those fans there are crazy. And I’m telling you, unless you hit that ground running and become a crowd favourite, you’re going to be in for a very tough time because they will turn on you if they don’t feel that you represent that shirt well enough,” he told the House of Champions podcast.
“It’s going to be interesting. I’m not ruling him out, like I said. I just hope he knows what he’s getting into.”
