Leeds United midfielder Weston McKennie set-up Ricardo Pepi's winning goal for the United States in a 1-0 win over El Salvador in Orlando.
USA booked their place in the CONCACAF Nations League semi-finals by extending their unbeaten run in the competition to four games.
Gio Reyna twice came close either side of half-time. His first strike had El Salvador goalkeeper Mario Martinez scrambling to palm the ball behind, while his second came crashing off the inside of the near post.

Just past the hour, McKennie produced a lasered 40-yard pass to unlock the opposing defence and send substitute Pepi one-on-one with Martinez.
Pepi applied a deft finish over Martinez to notch his third goal in two games, and inspire USA to back-to-back victories during the current international break.
McKennie's fellow Leeds teammate Brenden Aaronson was called upon in the second half and replaced Alejandro Zendejas from the bench on the hour-mark.
USA have now collected three wins from four in the CONCACAF Nations League, and sit five points clear at the top of Group D ahead of El Salvador and Grenada respectively.
