Westlife's richest member Kian Egan's surprising net worth and stunning seaside mansion

Kian Egan is said to be the richest member of Westlife with a net worth of €23.7m according to Celebrity Net Worth.

The Sligo man has been working as a professional singer since 1997, and he was even in a rock band called Skrod before joining Westlife. He lives with his wife, former Hollyoaks star Jodi Albert, and their three boys, Koa, Zeke and Cobi, in a stunning mansion in Strandhill, along the west coast.

Their home has floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the sea views, according to RSVP Live. The family take full advantage of their proximity to the beach by regularly enjoying sea swims and surfing together.

Kian and Jodi's house is also built for entertaining, with a fully stocked bar and a piano where guests can gather to sing songs until the wee hours.

Speaking of his reason to settle in Sligo, Kian said: "I suppose as the years went on and we got married and started having children and talked about the idea of where they would grow up and what type of lifestyle we wanted them to have, it just felt like no matter where we went in the world, Strandhill was the place for us.

"As I got older and we had children, I just really wanted to be part of a community and I wanted my children to feel like they’re part of a community because I travelled so much as a kid finding that place where you belong was a weird thing to me".

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Mark Feehily is worth €15 million, while reports say Nicky Byrne's net worth is between €1 and €5 million. But it wasn’t all perfect, as the Westlife lads have ups and downs financially according to Nicky.

He previously told the Irish Independent: “We have all lost money. We were all very foolish with money in the early days, we all bought cars and watches – the silly things.

"I don't think any of us were lucky. We did very well out of Westlife but everybody lives and spends. In the early days we earned great money, and in the latter days it was all gone.”

Meanwhile, Shane Filan was the most unfortunate member of the band, after his attempt to get into property development went south during the recession. His company, Shafin Developments, went bust after borrowing from Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank and he was declared bankrupt in 2012.

It was reported that his debts reached €23 million and he had only a few thousand euros left in the bank at one point, but he's in the green again and now has an estimated net worth of €2.9m.
