MUMBAI: The Western Railway's(WR) freight loading has shown an upward trend by registering 72.20 MT between April and November as compared to 56.49 MT during the corresponding period last year -- an increase of 28%, a senior official said on Sunday.
In November, WR achieved 9.20 MT freight loading which is 25% more than the corresponding period last year (7.36 MT).
The WR loaded 5695 wagons per day in November which is 16.6% more as compared to the corresponding period last year which had 4885 wagons per day, an official added.
