A coach was seized by police in the Westcountry after members of the public complained the vehicle was causing a nuisance as it blasted out loud music. It was parked along the Paignton seafront in Devon when locals reported it was playing "loud drum and base music".
Police served the vehicle's occupants with a Section 59 warning - meaning an official warning was placed on the driver and the vehicle for 12 months. However, as DevonLive reports, less than 24 hours later, officers were once again called out to the scene, having received more complaints.
Officers then seized the vehicle. In a statement, a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Over the weekend, Police received numerous reports that a green coach parked on Paignton seafront was playing loud drum and base music which was causing annoyance to members of the public."

They continued: "Response officers responded to these calls and gave the driver a Section 59 warning. Under the Police Reform Act 2002, section 59 is a warning placed against both the driver and vehicle and lasts for 12 months.
"These are issued when a vehicle is being or has been used in a manner which is likely to cause harassment, alarm, distress or annoyance to members of the public. If the behaviour continues, police have the power to seize the vehicle.
"Police subsequently received numerous further calls about this vehicle continuing to play loud music despite the warning, so officers returned and seized the coach under the above legislation."
Locals were unhappy with the noisy neighbours, with some taking to local Facebook groups to complain further. One person, annoyed at where the coach had parked, said: "Why can people with their own coach just park up on the footpath when others have to pay to enjoy seafront parking? Where are the traffic wardens when they are needed?"
Another demanded the coach leave, saying: "He needs to go!!!!! call himself a DJ PLAYING CRAP!!! people are leaving the B&Bs because of the row!!"
But not everyone was of the same opinion with some even labelling the owner a "legend". In response to one post on Facebook, one person said: "Guy's a legend leave him alone."
A second said: "He's causing no harm leave him to it I say," before another added: "That luggage compartment had a sound system in it and they were all dancing to D&B. Looks like they were having a good time."
And a fourth person said: "Absolutely awesome.. loved the fact the whole underneath were just speakers.. brilliant idea!"
