Despite West Lothian superstar Susan Boyle being one of the biggest names to walk out onto the stage of Britain's Got Talent, the 62-year-old has managed to stay largely out from the public eye.
Susan wowed judges and audience members in 2009 with her breathtaking rendition of I Dreamed a Dream and since her rise to fame, she is rarely seen splashing the cash.
Originally from Blackburn, West Lothian, the singer still lives in her childhood home and has also bought the property next door. Not one for flash cars or fancy holidays to the Maldives, Susan goes about her business very quietly.

At the start of the month the 62-year-old celebrated her birthday as she was spotted at the Knock House Hotel in Ireland. It wasn't clear who she was with, but she has continued to keep any romantic connections on the down low.
As the Mirror reports, Susan once admitted it wasn't "serious at the moment" with an American doctor and did not feel it was fair to make their relationship public, but the pair have been rumoured to enjoy each other's company.
Speaking in 2016 she joked: "I will send him a picture of my weight loss - if he's a good boy! I do enjoy male companionship."
Susan also revealed one of her "biggest regrets" as she opened up on her dreams of adopting a child. Speaking in another interview with Lady Magazine she explained how she would be the perfect choice to be a foster mum, but wasn't allowed.
She revealed: "I've a lovely house, why not share it? I love children. I've never had any of my own, that's my biggest regret."

Susan has had several more brushes with fame in the decade that followed her sensational BGT audition. As well as releasing an album a year between 2011 and 2014, she also appeared on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2019.
She has opted to remain living in Scotland, once admitting there was no place like home. The singer is said to still be an active member of her local church and is regularly spotted by residents on the streets of her home town.
