Teenagers are being barred from Livingston centre on Friday afternoons in a bid to calm rising tensions, police have told councillors.
Security staff at the centre are understood to have brought in the temporary ban to stop youngsters aged between 10 and 16 gathering there on Friday afternoons.
It comes after it was reported that youths were using free bus travel to come from as far afield as Fife to congregate at the centre, which had led to a rise in reports of antisocial behaviour.
