West Lothian police arrest and charge 33 year old man in connection with number of incidents

A 33 year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a number of incidents in the West Lothian area.

The two incidents occurred on Sunday August 7 in the late morning / early afternoon.

A spokesperson for West Lothian Police said:”Officers were called to a report of a theft and an assault on Carmondean Centre Road, Livingston, around 11.50am on Sunday, 7 August, 2022.

“A 64-year-old man was taken by ambulance to St John's Hospital.

“Later the same day, around 12.35pm, police were called to a report of a robbery on Hillview Avenue, Broxburn.”

The vehicle used in the incidents had also been reported stolen from the local area at an earlier time.

The 33 year old man is expected to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court today, Tuesday August 9.
