A concerned West Lothian resident has spoken of being accosted by unruly seagulls who continue to swoop down on anyone that passes their nests.
Melanie Potter Hughson from Broxburn shared a video of the overzealous birds continuing to swoop down at her dog as it played in her garden.
She says that this is not the first time that the gulls have taken to dive bombing passersby in the area.

Melanie recounts seeing a small cat ‘narrowly escape’ the defensive birds and she says that she believes they are trying to defend their chicks who are hatching around this time.
In the video shared with Edinburgh Live , a seagull can be seen continuously diving down at her dog as it plays in the garden.
