West Lothian kids took to the stage at Showstoppers Holiday Club

The Linked churches of Polbeth Harwood and West Kirk of Calder were delighted to welcome local children back after a two year break due to covid to their recent Showstoppers Holiday Club.

The non- denominational club welcomed 75 children of primary school age to join them in Polbeth Harwood Showstoppers Theatre, which was staffed with a truly awesome team of volunteers.

A spokesperson said: “The action packed week discovered some amazing talent, enjoyed a wide selection of messy challenges, laughed at some seriously whacky jokes, tried their hand at a wide range of crafts, burned off energy outside with the games team, split their sides at our daily drama and explored a different story from the bible every day.

“On Friday we rolled out the red carpet for our 'Oscars' event when all the actors were presented with a medal for exceptional show of talent!

“We had a full house on the ‘Best Bits ’Friday evening event where everyone could sit back and see a tiny bit of what the kids had been up to. Sincere thanks to all the volunteers, helpers, carers/parents who brought along their children to join us for this highlight event in our Church calendar.
