The sun shone on Bathgate on Saturday as the town’s procession took place for the first time since 2019.
At 11am on the steps of the Old Academy, there was the re-enactment of a significant event in Bathgate’s History.
This year Princess Marjory was played by Lia Conway and the role of Walter was taken by Stuart Gegan.
Following the pageant the procession, with many people in fancy dress, made its way through the town.
And people lined the streets to see families joining in with the parade as it wound its way through Bathgate.
In West Calder Parkhead Gala Day was also held when Charli Walker was crowned this year’s gala queen by Marie Prentice at Parkhead Primary on Saturday morning.
Then the parade took place, winding its way through the streets of the area. And the lovely sunshine on Saturday meant it was a day to remember!
And in Mid Calder villagers turned out in force to see delighted Leah Kirwin crowned gala queen by the outgoing queen, Jessica Watt. And there was plenty of other fun to be had, with a procession winding its way through the community. Hundreds of people turned out to watch the parade and enjoyed the celebrations in the sunshine.
