West Lothian dad pays tribute to both his girls' mums who died young

A West Lothian dad-of-two has paid a heartbreaking tribute to both his girls' mums who died young this Mothers Day, reminding them they will never be forgotten.

William Green from Broxburn has raised both of his daughters alone since both of their mums sadly died, one at just 22-years-old and one at 27-years-old.

Tragically his first born daughter Shannon who is now 17, lost her mum Nikita when she was five years old after she died of an asthma attack while pregnant.

William's youngest daughter Ella, who is just six years old, sadly lost her mum Catherine, 27, to suicide in March last year.

Both deaths were a devastating loss to the family, and a shock as both mothers died so young.

Mothers Day can be a a heartbreaking time for many different reasons, but the dedicated dad wanted to make a tribute to his girls' mums and remind them they will always be with them.

William touchingly said: "Happy Mother’s day to all the wonderful mums out there doing the best by there kids, i hope you all have been spoiled.

"And to all the mums in Heaven who cannot be with their kids today, my heart goes out to you and your families may there memories always live on .

"This evening I want to share some photo’s as both my daughter’s mums were taken too young.

"I believe both my girls' mums will be so proud of them and I thank Cat and Nikita for giving me two beautiful daughters. Shannon Green and Ella Green have came so far in life the photos below reflect this . They will both continue to do their mums proud.

"I’m a very proud dad. Yes it's very sad they are not here to share today with them something I can’t change. My girls are strong though and I’ll always be by their side to guide them.

"Their mums will always be in spirit guiding them through the good times and the bad."
