A Lothian campsite found just 30 minutes from Edinburgh Castle has been rated one of Scotland’s best, according to customers.
Law Farm Campsite in Livingston is a 20 minute drive from the Forth Bridge and just half an hour out from the City Centre of Edinburgh.
With views of The Pentlands, Arthur’s Seat and Binnie Craig, it has been described by customers as having “lovely scenery, miles away from the rat race.”

The pop up site is only open for a short spell during summer, from July 22 until August 5 but last year, visitors were so pleased with their experience that they scored it 10 out of 10.
The site is found in a grassy farm field with plenty of room between plots. With simple facilities like portaloo toilets, it’s best suited to experienced, self-sustaining travellers who don’t mind starting their own fire or cooking dinner over a barbecue.
Tickets start at just £25 per night for a grass tent pitch for up to six people.
Customers on Pitch Up said: “The spot was perfect. Great view and lots of cycling routes nearby. Only 8 miles from Morrison’s so very handy, perfect location into Edinburgh City.”
Another said: “Carolyn was so welcoming and friendly, we had a lovely stay on the farm for two nights. The field was spacious and lots of animals to see, loved the little chickens. Toilets were really clean with a small sink perfect for easy camping.
“Really enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend.”
And yet another added: "This was perfect field camping for three families. Kids are able to get their own tents up and feel independent. Beautiful view of the three bridges.
"Plenty of animals wandering on the farm, a great bonus for any animal lovers. The hen and duck eggs available for breakfast added to the enjoyment."
