The Broxburn bottler worker recently captured images over the last week (September 19-25) and says that he avidly enjoys his hobby.
In one photo, a deer with majestic antlers can be seen looking towards the camera.
You are able to make out the nodules and various colours of the antlers due to the quality of the snap.
It was taken at the bank of the River Almond in Livingston as the deer took a sip of water.
A herd of deer can also be seen congregating by the river as they all look to stay hydrated.
The cute four legged bunch seem unperturbed by David’s presence as they frolic together.
In another image, a kingfisher can be seen getting its share of protein by eating a tiny little fish.
Its beautiful blue and gold feathers stand out as it enjoys the meal.
David also managed to capture a variety of other bird types during his trip which he shared to the Almond Park Facebook group.
An adorable otter is also spotted in the pictures resting on top of a rock.
The slick furred carnivorous mammal was not disturbed by David as it enjoyed a swim in West Lothian.
On his hobby and capturing the snaps, he said: “I always like going out and about trying to get good photos of the local wildlife.
“I get a lot of animals like foxes, badgers, otters, deer, rabbits, hares, kingfishers and herons.
“It is always a good feeling when you have had a good day and are able to get lots of animal photos.
“It’s definitely a good hobby - I like the chase of it all.
“I get a great response from the local community for the images that I have been able to share and I get a great sense of satisfaction from the work I do.”
You can see all of David's pictures in a local Facebook group here.
