A band from West Lothian are set to embark on a European tour supporting long-time friend and fellow artist Lewis Capaldi.

Mark Sharp and the Bicycle Thieves, a five-piece band from various areas of West Lothian, have announced this morning (January 24) that they will be supporting superstar Lewis Capaldi on his European tour throughout February and March 2023.

Writing on Facebook, the band said: "We’re absolutely over the moon to announce that we’ll be opening for the legend that is Lewis Capaldi across Europe throughout Feb & March.

"This is a huge opportunity for us as a band so massive love to Capaldi and his team for having us on this journey with them.

"If you were lucky enough to get tickets then we will see you there. MS&TBT."

Lewis has already had the Bicycle Thieves as support acts previously in Edinburgh, at the Princes Street in 2019 - with fellow West Lothian artists The Snuts and Luke LaVolpe also on the bill.

Lewis will be heading out to Europe from February 13, 2023, beginning in Warsaw. Mark Sharp and the Bicycle Thieves will be joining Lewis on every date of the tour except from March 14 (Stuttgart) and March 15 (Munich).

Some dates are sold out, but there is still a low quantity of tickets available for some of Lewis Capaldi's European tour - available on the Ticketmaster website.
