West Ham are without Maxwel Cornet today as they face Fulham in the Premier League, though Gianluca Scamacca starts after his goals against Wolves and Anderlecht.

Cornet is out with a calf strain as the Hammers host a London derby in Stratford, while Flynn Downes’ impressive performance in the Europa Conference League on Thursday was not enough to see him retain his spot in midfield.

Ben Johnson made his return from injury in a back three during the week as David Moyes took the chance to rotate his squad, though Declan Rice and Lucas Paqueta are back in the XI today, along with Scamacca.

“Maxel will not be available for the game,” said Moyes at Friday’s pre-match press conference.

“He’s got a small calf strain. I don’t think it’s as bad as we first feared, but it will keep him out for a few days.

“Elsewhere, we’ve got a few knocks and niggles but hopefully we’ll be okay by the time we get to Sunday’s game."

For Fulham, top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic is out once again, so ex-Tottenham loanee Carlos Vinicius leads the line instead.

West Ham starting XI: Fabianski, Kehrer, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell, Soucek, Rice, Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, Fornals, Scamacca

Subs: Johnson, Coufal, Antonio, Lanzini, Downes, Areola, Ogbonna, Benrahma, Emerson Palmieri

Fulham starting XI: Leno, Kebano, Adarabioyo, Ream, Antonee Robinson, Reed, Joao Palhinha, James, Andreas Pereira, Reid, Vinicius

Subs: Rodak, Duffy, Wilson, Cairney, Onomah, Mbabu, Diop, Harris, Godo
