West Ham XI vs Crystal Palace: Confirmed team news, starting lineup, injury latest for Premier League today

West Ham name Lucas Paqueta in their starting line-up against Crystal Palace today.

The Brazilian has been out for three weeks with a collarbone injury, picked up in last month’s draw with Southampton, and that initially sparked some concerns over his participation at the World Cup.

However, Paqueta has returned to first-team training and is straight back into the side for the Hammers’ clash against Palace.

“He’s been training so he’s probably ready to be included in the squad,” David Moyes told reporters on Friday. “Whether he’s ready to play or not I don’t know. He certainly could be involved.

“We’re beginning to get some injured players back. Nayef Aguerd played his first 90 minutes, he’s been out for three, four months, so closer to getting him back.”

Moyes had the luxury of making wholesale changes for his side’s final Europa Conference League group-stage match in midweek, with West Ham the only side in the competition to win all six of their games.

Pablo Fornals scored twice in that match but once again has to settle for a place on the bench in the league.

The likes of Declan Rice, Jarrod Bowen and Aaron Cresswell all return to the side, as does Lukasz Fabianski who was a slight doubt after going off against Manchester United last weekend with a knee injury.

There was decision for Moyes to make up front, with Michail Antonio pushing for a start after Gianluca Scamacca’s run of six matches without a goal, but the Italian keeps his place.

West Ham XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Kehrer, Zouma, Dawson, Cresswell; Rice, Soucek; Benrahma, Paqueta, Bowen; Scamacca

Subs: Areola, Coufal, Aguerd, Ogbonna, Lanzini, Downes, Antonio, Fornals, Emerson
