West Ham Women will be in Conti Cup action on Wednesday night as they face a trip to Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the competition.
The Merseyside club progressed as second in their group behind Manchester City, while Paul Konchesky's side topped Group C ahead of Brighton, London City Lionesses and Birmingham City. The Hammers didn't lose a single game in their group stage, having drawn twice and won once against Birmingham City.
Both sides are yet to win a game in 2023, although West Ham have so far played three games compared to Liverpool's one. Konchesky's side were beaten in both of their WSL matches this month against Manchester City and Everton, while they drew against Brighton in their final Conti Cup group stage match.

The Reds, on the other hand, were heavily beaten 6-0 by WSL title chasers Manchester United in their first game of the year and last Sunday's match against Chelsea was postponed six minutes in due to a frozen pitch. Just seven points currently separate the two teams in the table, West Ham sit in seventh while Liverpool are currently ninth.
Matt Beard's side had the edge, however, when the two teams met in the WSL meeting in December, goals from Ceri Holland and Katie Stengel earned Liverpool a much-needed win last month. West Ham will hope to come out on top this time around as they look to progress to the semi-finals of the competition for the first time since the 6-0 defeat to Chelsea in the 2020/21 season.
Both Liverpool and West Ham were knocked out of the competition at the quarter-final stage last term, the Reds suffered defeat to Spurs, while the Hammers were once again pushed aside by Emma Hayes' Chelsea. Liverpool have reached the semi-finals on just two occasions in 2013 and 2015.
Regarding team news, Lucy Parker is in contention for Wednesday's game after she made her return from injury last time out against Everton. Jess Ziu, however, remains unavailable as she continues her recovery from an ACL injury.
Speaking to whufc.com after the defeat to the Toffees on Sunday, Konchesky said: "It’s another big game (against Liverpool), and we need to make sure we’re ready and work on what didn’t go to plan today. We’re fighting for a place in the semi-finals of the cup, and if you can’t get up for that then you probably shouldn’t be in football."
