West Ham vs Tottenham prediction and odds: Antonio Conte face potential banana-skin match against David Moyes

Tottenham Hotspur have the chance to go top of the Premier League table but have to get past a West Ham United who have been somewhat of a banana-skin for their north London neighbours. Antonio Conte's side have only picked up two wins in their last five league meetings against the Irons - both at home - and lost their last two trips to the London Stadium.

Spurs are 19/20 favourites with Betway while West Ham are 11/4 to surprise their London rivals and a draw is 11/4 to. The Irons have won their last two Premier League home matches against the Lilywhites but have not gone three consecutive home league wins since their last run between February 1997 and August 1999 when they won four times.

Conte's side have started strongly and have clearly lived up to early expectations that they could well break Liverpool and Man City's top two dominance with an unbeaten start including back-to-back win to nils against Wolves and Nottingham Forest. Their 2-2 comeback draw at Stamford Bridge is testament of the mentality the Italian manager has instilled in the group too.

For West Ham, things have been slow going for the Hammers as David Moyes tries to get the signings in he wants and settle them in quickly. The Hammers securing a Europa Conference League group stage place may have saved a few blushes but suffered three defeats on the bounce against Man City, Forest and Brighton before finding their first goal and win of the season away at Villa Park.

Player to watch

I was spot on in my prediction that Harry Kane would score the last goal against Nottingham Forest so safe to say I am backing the England captain to deliver once again. Four goals in as many appearances is fantastic form for the striker with the World Cup just a few months away and no doubt Conte will be expecting his main striker to deliver once again.

H2H

This will be the 167th meeting between the two sides with Spurs picking up 69 wins, 38 draws and 53 defeats in that time against West Ham in all competitions. In the league, this will be the 139th meeting between the two clubs with the Lilywhites picking up 58 wins, 33 draws and 47 defeats against the Irons.
