West Ham vs Gent: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds today

West Ham battle Gent in the second leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final tie tonight.

Europe’s third-tier club competition has proven a welcome distraction from Premier League problems for David Moyes and an exit would render an already poor season utterly pointless.

Given the financial might the Hammers boast compared to the rest of the teams in the Conference League, as well as their recent European pedigree, they remain one of the favourites to lift the trophy.

With Moyes under pressure after failing to get the most out of an expensively assembled team, not getting to the June 7 final in Prague would surely see any credit he has left in the bank spent up.

Still, that’s not to say Gent will go quietly. Arguably the better team in last week’s draw in Belgium, little about West Ham’s performance there will worry them too much. Here’s everything you need to know about today’s game.

Date, kick-off time and venue

West Ham vs Gent is scheduled for an 8pm BST kick-off time tonight on Thursday April 20, 2023.

The London Stadium will host the match.

While West Ham were not particularly convincing in Belgium, how they fought back against Arsenal spoke to a character this team haven’t always shown this season. On home soil, they should have enough.
