West Ham told to make David Moyes decision amid Aston Villa Premier League prediction

West Ham United should keep manager David Moyes according to former Premier League striker Chris Sutton, who have tipped them to beat Aston Villa on Sunday.

The Hammers currently find themselves one point above the relegation zone with 13 games to play and during last week's 4-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, supporters chanted for Moyes to be sacked.

football.london understands the ex-Manchester United and Everton boss has the backing of the board and Sutton believes Moyes should remain in charge - even saying he will guide West Ham to a 2-1 win on Sunday.

"This is going to be a great contest. West Ham United beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 a couple of weeks ago. I think that result helped the Hammers paper over the cracks. In that game, all four of their goals came after the 70th minute. They then went and got beaten 4-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion.

"This is a massive game for David Moyes and Co. West Ham need to keep Moyes in charge. This is a hard game to call. I'd call this a pundit's nightmare. Either team could win the game 2-1 and you wouldn't be shocked.

"I'm going to go with West Ham due to their home advantage. But in no way would I be shocked if Villa won the game.

Aston Villa are mid-table and looking to increase the gap between themselves and the bottom three to 15 points, winning two of their last three fixtures.

Mark Lawrenson agrees with Sutton, backing West Ham to beat Unai Emery's side 2-1 in a 'tight game'.

"I’ll go for West Ham in a tight game," Lawrenson said. "I know the owners are very much behind David Moyes so I’ll have them to just win against Aston Villa who are very well organised."
